This is a review for medical centers in Orland Park, IL:

“I’ve been to this location several times for various tests. The techs that have performed my radiology exams have been great! The ladies drawing blood are hit or miss- nice enough but not really welcoming. I once had a glucose test and thankfully that lady was nice. When you 1st walk in, the greeter smiles and seems like she’d be willing to assist which is nice. The ladies seated to the rgt are/were a questionable crew- when I was coming for ultrasounds, they were visibly eating food and talking rather than greeting and checking people in. Their customer service was severely lacking, no smiles, no how’s your day- nothing.”

And Six Other Questions About Flu Season During Covid

As trees grow bare and the weather becomes cooler, many of us are preparing for a long winter ahead. A part of this preparation involves planning for 20202021s unpredictable flu season coupled with COVID-19. Below are common questions you may have about this years flu season and the current pandemic.

Get A Free Flu Shot At Your Local Jewel Pharmacy

With the flu season coming up, the DuPage Health Coalition is joining our partners in DuPage County to make it easier for all of our neighbors to stay healthy and flu-free. With funding provided by DuPage County, DHC is offering free flu vaccine vouchers to uninsured DuPage County residents whose financial circumstances make it difficult to get their annual flu shot. Vouchers will be sent to all current Access DuPage members and to any other individual who requests them. These vouchers can be redeemed at any Jewel Osco pharmacy until February 28th, while supplies last.

Why should people get vaccinated? To begin, the influenza is a potentially serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently. But millions of people get flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized, and thousands to tens of thousands of people die from flu-related causes every year. Likewise, an annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu. Vaccination has been shown to have many benefits including reducing the risk of flu illnesses, hospitalizations and even the risk of flu-related death in children. Furthermore, there is no evidence that getting a flu vaccine increases your risk of getting sick from a coronavirus, like the one that causes COVID-19.

The clinics, operated by Toronto Public Health, will be open over the next week at the following locations and times:

    • Friday, Nov. 8 at the Toronto Reference Library.

De Villa said the flu typically begins spreading in late fall.

She is advising people to get their flu shots as soon as possible, since the vaccine typically takes around two weeks to take full effect.

The flu vaccine is also available through health care providers and more than 500 pharmacies around the city. The flu shot is free for all Ontario residents above six months of age.

Ontario’s supply of flu vaccines was delayed earlier this year to distribution issues, though that problem appears to have now been resolved.

De Villa said there were 2,672 lab-confirmed influenza cases in Toronto during last year’s flu season.

What To Expect When Receiving A Flu Shot And Safety Guidance:

    • A mask is required during your entire visit.
